I had to venture into Town today to gather the last few Christmas gifts for Rachael and Elliot. Getting there was easy enough but I had to resort to using the Multi-Story car-park and pay through the nose for parking D: I looked over the edge…
I went to this shopping mall..
After that I went to another shopping mall…
And then I paid a visit to my favourite dead mall on Newgate Street.
The floors in this old place are immaculate as 90% of the available units are empty and the security guard patrols the area ceaselessly, brushing at imagined dust. If you’re in Newcastle and feeling nostalgic for the 80’s visit Newgate Mall.
Down a side alley from Grey Street there were some arty security shutters.
(While I was taking this picture a very highly manicured young bloke slid on the wet cobbles as his day-glo blue and green high top trainers afford him no grip at all. He twisted his ankle pretty bad. At first he tried to walk it off but alas the agony was too much for his cool and he hid his shame behind mirrored aviator sunglasses while his equally trendy girlfriend hovered anxiously… You suck!)
I bought Rachael a cool glass bead for her charm bracelet and I found a clockwork tin robot for Elliot, so I was pretty pleased as it meant I could get the hell out of there, I hate town! D:
